Announcing the 2026 Conference Board Election

As we prepare to gather for the 2026 Open Education Conference on October 27-29, the Open Education Conference is launching its annual community election process for its Advisory Board. Guided by the Strategic Vision, newly elected board members will join conference leadership in January 2027 to shape its future as a sustainable, community-owned event.

The goal of the election is to appoint six community members to serve on the Advisory Board for a two year term, starting January 1, 2027 and ending December 31, 2028. Starting today, interested candidates are invited to review the requirements and self-nominate by Friday, November 13th, 2026. Voting will take place from Monday, November 30th to Friday, December 4th, 2026. For more details, visit the election page.
