Background & More Information

For the last two years, the Open Education Conference has been supported by an interim organizing structure designed to aid the conference’s transition to a fully community-owned event. The conference’s Strategic Planning Committee has worked in partnership with the community to build strong foundations for this transition, including collaborative development of the Strategic Vision and election process.

The Board of Directors is being formed to assume leadership of the conference in January 2022. Membership will be comprised of six two-year seats selected through a community election and six one-year seats filled by returning committee members. Visit our election webpage for the full details, including Bylaws and FAQ.
