OpenEd Conference Celebrates #OEweek with Release of 2020 Recordings
In honor of international Open Education Week on March 1-5, the Open Education Conference is thrilled to announce the release of 100+ hours of recordings from last year’s virtual event. Held in November 2020, #OpenEd20 offered more than 250 sessions on topics spanning open pedagogy, OER basics, and the intersections of open education and social justice. The videos from the recorded sessions are available today for the entire world to explore and learn from.
Highlights from #OpenEd20 include powerful keynotes, action-packed lightning talks, and timely presentations spanning topics on OER, open pedagogy, social justice applications, and more. The conference platform Sched, now publicly available, offers multiple search tools to explore and discover interesting content.
Gearing Up for #OpenEd21
We also have some exciting updates about what is in store for the 2021 Open Education Conference. Last year's event was the first-ever to be virtual and community-led in OpenEd's seventeen-year history, and we intend to continue the process of "reimagining" the conference again this year. We're excited to share that #OpenEd21 will be held virtually, targeting dates in the third week of October 2021. Watch the video above to find out more.
The Open Education Conference conference is inviting everyone in the broader open education field to join the community-led process to organize #OpenEd21 and plan for the future of the conference’s governance. Here are some ways to get involved.
